DESCRIPTION:

The position of Customs Compliance Specialist serves as an integral member of Customs Compliance Dept where high volume of customs clearances will be processed in timely manner.

• Reviews on-boarding documents for accuracy and communicates with the client regarding any discrepancies and approvals/rejections of on-boarding documents
• Responds to customer/vendor inquiries regarding customs clearance and follows-up to ensure issue resolution
• Maintains communication with customers, carriers and vendors
• Works with customs broker and internal stakeholders on various customs-related processes
• Handles accounting processes accurately in a timely manner and generate proper billing to customers
• Serves as the customer service liaison between the company and the customers
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate customer profiles, reports, shipping documentation, databases, etc.
• Assists investigate all customers’ billing dispute and collaborates with respective teams to identify the problem with resolution.
• Performs clerical tasks as assigned
