REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of Entry Writing experience for the Staff
  • 5+ years of Entry Writing experience for the Senior Staff
  • 5+ years of Logistics, Freight, International Transportation, and Customs related experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Ability to identify when escalation is needed to find a resolution on an existing problem
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to do multi-task to ensure daily brokerage operations are successfully completed
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications and analytical skills
  • Possess strong cross-functional teamwork, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of US Customs and other Government Agency Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Responsibilities
  • Process assigned customs entry documents and related filings accurately and in a timely manner, including ISF and Customs Entry filing
  • Maintain and update customer/importers profiles
  • Determine and track duties and taxes payable; process payments on behalf of clients
  • Handle accounting processes as they apply to CHB including the issuance of invoices to customers or overseas offices as well as the processing of payment requisitions
  • Ensure maximum customer service satisfaction through interaction with clients and other company business units; provide timely responses to customer inquiries and status requests
  • Notify management of any customer complaints or entry discrepancies and provide suggestions to resolve issues
  • Review and distribute documentation to ensure regulatory compliance of participating government agencies
  • Interact with Customs and other government agencies as needed
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and procedures/productivity standards
  • Support other team members with accounts and workload on day-to-day operations
  • Assist with the creation of client SOPs
  • Other duties as requested
