- Knowledge of free trade zones

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
The Customs Manager (FZ) is responsible for overseeing customs operations, ensuring compliance withregulations, and facilitating the efficient clearance of goods. This role involves managing customs documentationand liaising with various stakeholders. This role also drives the local execution of customer care strategies whileoverseeing P&L and billing.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Documentation Supervision: Oversee the preparation and submission of all customs documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all customs regulations and procedures, implementing necessary adjustments as regulations change.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with Air and Sea Logistics teams to facilitate smooth operations and enhance service delivery.
- Team Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor team members on customs processes and compliance, fostering a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
- Value Proposition Development: Create a compelling value proposition for Kuehne + Nagel’s customs product, clearly communicating its unique benefits to clients.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and opportunities, translating insights into innovative customs approaches that align with product design.
- Sales Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for the Sales organization, including Key Account and Field Sales teams, regarding customs brokerage opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients’ financial decisionmakers, positioning yourself as their go-to contact for all customs-related inquiries.
- P&L Responsibility: Assume full P&L responsibility for the customs product, ensuring its growth is both profitable and sustainable.
- Business Growth Initiatives: Drive the growth of Kuehne + Nagel’s customs business, aiming for positive NP2 results.
- Digital Connectivity Enhancement: Enhance connectivity with customers, suppliers, internal partners, and customs authorities through innovative technologies and digital interfaces.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Motivation & Morale: Maintain high levels of motivation within the team by implementing strategies that boost morale and productivity
