Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  * General supervising duties * Ensure output, productivity, efficiency, and quality of all cut & edge and mounting operations across multiple sites (Hsinchu, Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung). * Oversee daily cut & edge schedules to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements. * Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. * Support training and development of team members. * Flexibly allocate and dispatch manpower to address workload fluctuations and staffing needs. * Outsourcing Management * Manage outsourcing during peak periods. * Outsourcing partner selection and contract signing. * Coordination of daily operations with external partners. * Monitoring lead times, delivery performance, and quality compliance. * Overseeing payment processes and performance evaluations. * Cost and Budget Control * Monitor and control departmental expenses and operational costs. * Optimize resource allocation to maximize cost-efficiency. * Equipment and Facility Maintenance * Manage maintenance and stability of cut & edge machinery, spare parts, and related infrastructure (e.g., water supply, electricity, air compressors). * Coordinate preventive maintenance and timely repairs. * Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Process Optimization * Develop, implement, and update operating standards and workflow procedures to ensure consistency, safety, and efficiency. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations. * Performance Management * Set team KPIs and monitor performance against goals. * Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement. KEY DELIVERABLES (THE MAIN DELIVERABLES EXPECTED IN THE FIRST 18-24 MONTHS) * Meet output/productivity (piece/job per hour), cost (CPU) and quality (Yield) targets across all sites (Hsinchu, Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung). * Drive the team to improve efficiency by encouraging innovative thinking. * Well manage outsourcing for peak periods, ensuring delivery and quality. * Improve on-time delivery rate by working closely with CS, SCM and Sales. * Control department costs and reduce unnecessary expenses. QUALIFICATIONS * Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing management and preferably in Optometry. * Experience: 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing/medical device industry management. * Knowledge and Hard Skills:  * Good communication, interpersonal, and management skills.  * Keeps up-to-date knowledge and flexibility with solid execution, demonstrated ability to drive results. * English ability to read, write, speak and understanding in cross-country meeting. * Behavioral Attributes:  * Initiative, proactiveness, and independence * Willingness to take challenge * Achieving Results MOBILITY Willingness to travel domestically due to the team is spread in different regions.
