Summary of Position This posting is for a Temporary Part-Time Pre-K ELIS Educational Assistant Position at Cut Knife Community School commencing February 24th, 2025 and ending June 30, 2025. Hours of work are 6 hours per day-ranging from two to three days per week (Monday to Friday). Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.Qualifications Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experiencePost-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an assetThe Right Person will genuinely appreciate working with children and demonstrate patience, show empathy, and help make learning fun;possess strong planning and organizational skills while showing initiative;have excellent communication skills; andbe enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment.
