Job Details Job Location: Century Upholstery Plant 2 - Hickory, NC 28601 Position Type: Full Time Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Summary Job Description This position is responsible for reading the work orders and cutting material as instructed for upholstered furniture. Essential Duties Verifies that fabric and pattern correspond to the work order Inspects fabric for defects and verifies the dye lots Locates correct pattern and checks swatches for proper alignment of fabric Pulls correct pattern and puts away when done Marks out the fabric and cuts to proper size and shape Marks and bundles all parts together and places in proper area for pick-up Records all yardages used on ticket Required to 4-way match fabric Places cut rolls in proper area for pick-up Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties as assigned Qualifications Position Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Previous marking/cutting experience a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
