Description
Overview The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. Qualifications Education: - Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy - In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years� experience and: - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) Licensure/Certification/Registration: - FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields) - BLS - ACLS Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Responsibilities
The CVT monitors diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies under the direction of the director. They ensure safe patient care and serve as a scrub assistant during procedures.
