Overview There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community. This is a close-knit EP Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. The benefit about working here is that you will truly learn and acquire valuable experience, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. Our EP Lab offers state-of-art technology and medical devices. Responsibilities The EP Lab CVT Charge, under the direction the of the director/manager person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) Licensure/Certification/Registration American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications: -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields BLS required ACLS required
Responsibilities
The EP Lab CVT Charge monitors diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies under the direction of the manager, while also ensuring safe patient care and functioning as a scrub assistant.
