Description

Welder / Fabricator — JARVIS ManufacturingAbout Us
JARVIS Manufacturing is a custom fabrication shop specializing in design, machining, welding, and material processing. We build everything from simple structures to complex assemblies. We’re a small, hands-on team that values problem solvers who take initiative and pride in their work.
The Role
You’ll take projects from drawings to finished parts, with a primary focus on welding and fabrication. You must be a skilled fabricator with the ability to fit and weld out jobs of any size. This is not a machine operator role — you’ll be building, problem-solving, and adapting.
We’re a dynamic shop, so while welding will be your main responsibility, some days you’ll jump in wherever needed. A positive attitude and willingness to take on any task, big or small, is essential.

Must-Have Skills

  • Flux Cored CWB-certified welder
  • Proficient in MIG, Metal Core, and Flux-core welding
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Strong understanding of welding symbols, tolerances, and materials
  • Experience fitting, tacking, and welding assemblies
  • Able to work independently and solve problems on the floor
  • Team player who thrives in a small, fast-moving shop
  • Enthusiastic about both learning and teaching

Nice-to-Have Assets

  • Experience with machining or forming equipment (mills, press brakes, saws, etc.)
  • Background in custom fabrication (not just production welding)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — willing to take initiative and go the extra mile
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Performance bonuses
  • Diverse custom projects (not repetitive production)
  • A small, collaborative team where your skills and ideas matter
  • Growth potential in a fast-expanding company
  • Benefits Package:
  • Extended health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid vacation and statutory holidays
  • Safety gear/PPE allowance
  • Opportunities for training and certification upgrades
