Reporting to the Shop manager, the welder must be able to perform the duties of welding carbon steel to meet CWB requirements,
CWB ticket: SMAW, FCAW,MCAW (F/H minimum)
Structural, plate / sheet experience
Minimum 40 - 44 hours per week
Must be available for immediate start to work

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2nd, 3rd year apprentices or Journeyman

• Ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently.
• Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
• Removes rough spots from work, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc
• Read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Develops templates and other fixtures to hold and align parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• maintaining QA/QC policies and procedures
• Making sure that products are produced on time and good quality
• Maintaining equipment
