  • 5-years Driver’s Abstract plus Class 5 Driver’s license

Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a CWD Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to oversee the planning and delivery of the CWD fall and winter field components.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee planning and delivery of all aspects of the CWD field component
  • Create schedules and provincial routes for field technicians
  • Respond to internal/external stakeholders concerns and provide ongoing public education
  • Organize and obtain field equipment, vehicles, and supplies for province-wide execution
  • Liaise between CWD field technicians and senior biological staff within the Wildlife Disease Unit
    To be successful in this role, you must possess a number of skills that are both technical and interpersonal. Good communication skills are needed for interacting effectively with staff, sportsmen, landowners and other stakeholders regarding issues related to CWD.
    The incumbent must demonstrate strong time management skills and may be required to work in challenging conditions, including inclement weather, rough terrain, and exposure to unpleasant sights and odors. Occasional long workdays and weekend availability (as part of a modified work week) may also be necessary.
