MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

You must have a valid class ‘G’ driver’s licence or equivalent, as recognized by the Province of Ontario. The offer of employment is conditional upon the successful candidate providing proof that they have a valid driver’s licence upon being hired.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • You have interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a team, and to clearly and effectively collaborate on project objectives with a variety of stakeholders, partners and Indigenous groups.
  • You have the ability to prepare and submit progress reports, develop health and safety protocols, prepare written material for publication as technical reports and/or primary scientific literature to communicate findings to other science, management and policy staff in government, as well as academia and stakeholders.

ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:

  • You have strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and address challenges and to find creative solutions.
  • You have the ability to independently conduct literature analyses, jurisdictional scans to remain up to date in the field of wildlife research, management and conservation, and incorporate this knowledge into project design and implementation.
