Providing intelligence, IT, cyber security, training, logistics, administrative, acquisition, and background investigation services. Summary: The Cyber Defense Analyst is responsible for using data collected from various cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events within the environment. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: The primary goal is to mitigate threats & enhance the organization's security posture. Must support 1) Data Analysis: Utilize data from cyber defense tools to analyze/interpret security events, 2) Threat Mitigation: Identify/respond to potential threats to mitigate risks, 3) Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities to address breaches, 4) Continuous Monitoring: Maintain ongoing surveillance of network traffic & security alerts, & 5) Collaboration: Work w/ all teams to implement effective defense strategies & improve overall security measures. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum Qualifications: AA/AS Degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university -or- Substitute 3+ Yrs of related EXP. Training, Certifications, EXP, & Clearance Requirements: IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification & applicable CE/OS Certification. EXP w/ data analysis, threat mitigation, incident response, continuous monitoring, & collaboration. EXP w/ Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, ACAS, Palo Alto, GitLab, BurpSuite, MacOS, iPadOS, Windows, & RedHat Enterprise Linux. Preferred Qualifications: Secret Clearance Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $96,657.60 to $108,739.80 annually.
