We’re on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Analyst (Operations) to join our Cyber team in Digital & Technology. In this full‑time, permanent role, you’ll play a critical part in protecting our organisation by operating, engineering, and continuously improving cyber security controls across on‑premise and cloud environments. Working closely with technology teams and cyber specialists, you’ll help detect, respond to, and reduce cyber risks in a complex healthcare and community services environment. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and optimise core cyber security platforms including endpoint protection, SIEM, identity and access management, email security, vulnerability management and data protection. Monitor and analyse security events to identify threats, vulnerabilities and anomalous activity. Lead and contribute to the technical response to security incidents, including investigation, containment, remediation and post‑incident review. Validate the effectiveness of cyber security controls and implement practical, risk‑based improvements. Perform hands‑on security engineering activities such as configuration changes, control uplift, integrations and tooling improvements. Collaborate with IT teams, vendors and service providers to resolve security issues and improve control effectiveness. Communicate operational security risks clearly and escalate material risks as required. What you will bring: Demonstrated experience in cyber security operations, engineering, or incident response roles. Strong understanding of cyber security principles and technologies including endpoint protection, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management and cloud security. Experience implementing, configuring and improving security controls in enterprise environments. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non‑technical stakeholders.
