About this role BlackRock is seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to join our technology organization. In this role, you will help us strengthen monitoring, logging, and telemetry capabilities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Your work will directly improve system reliability, visibility, and incident response outcomes across our AWS and Azure platforms. We are building scalable observability solutions that support critical systems used by teams and clients around the world. Responsibilities In the position of Senior Observability Engineer, you will: Design and evolve observability platforms using Splunk (Enterprise or Cloud) and Cribl Stream. Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines to improve log routing, enrichment, and cost efficiency. Establish and champion best practices for metrics, logs, and traces. Deliver actionable dashboards and alerts that reduce incident resolution time. Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to improve operational visibility. Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. Support secure and compliant telemetry practices across cloud environments. Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What You Bring Experience working with observability platforms such as Splunk (Enterprise or Cloud) and Cribl Stream. Knowledge of AWS and Azure services, including native monitoring capabilities. Experience building or supporting monitoring and logging solutions in cloud environments. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures. Strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills. Experience with similar observability or telemetry platforms is also valued.
