You thrive in collaboration with Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) teams, communicate clearly under stress, and bring empathy and clarity to clients navigating cyber crises.
Mission Objectives
As a Restoration & Remediation Consultant, you’ll be a key player in Vendetta’s incident response operations. You’ll help clients recover from cyberattacks, restore compromised systems, and implement tailored remediation strategies. Your work will directly impact operational continuity and future threat mitigation.

Tactical Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with DFIR teams to assess incident scope and impact
  • Restore systems to pre-incident states, including data recovery and hardening
  • Develop and execute remediation plans aligned with technical and regulatory needs
  • Reimage, rebuild, and reconfigure endpoints, servers, and services (AD, Exchange, GPO, VPN)
  • Troubleshoot network and infrastructure-level issues
  • Assist in forensic evidence collection and malware analysis
  • Deploy endpoint protection and access control tools
  • Document actions, findings, and lessons learned in structured reports
  • Participate in rotational on-call support to ensure 24/7 coverage

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and MacOS environments
  • Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, and endpoint security tools
  • Understanding of attacker techniques, IOCs, and incident impact
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset
  • Clear communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt quickly and perform under pressure
