Location: Auckland (Head Office) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Salary Range: NZD $85,000 – $100,000 per annum Mō te tūranga | About the role We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support the ongoing integrity and security of AA’s IT environment. This role is responsible for ensuring security infrastructure is proactively maintained to protect the business from modern cyber threats while supporting stable and secure business operations. The role focuses on day-to-day security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, audit activities, and supporting the delivery of security initiatives. You will work closely with internal platform teams and external security partners to maintain and improve AA’s security posture in line with ICT policies and industry standards. What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga Manage BAU security work items including incidents, service requests, and operational security tasks Monitor automated security and compliance tools and work with relevant teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities Coordinate or support vulnerability scans and penetration testing activities Carry out or assist with security assessments of systems, vendors, and partners Work with platform teams to implement security tools and controls aligned with the security roadmap Coordinate responses to third-party due diligence and security assessment requests Perform and review user access audits across systems Support the development and maintenance of security configuration standards Assist with technology auditing activities and contribute to improvements in audit processes Contribute to the delivery of security improvements and small-scale security projects in collaboration with technology teams About You | Mōu Minimum 3 years’ experience in information or cyber security, or a related IT role Working knowledge of security frameworks such as CIS Controls, ISO27001, or NIST Experience supporting compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, GDPR, or similar frameworks Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and monitoring tools Understanding of security operations, access control, and technology auditing processes Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support resolution of security-related incidents Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage workload effectively and meet operational and project deadlines Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment Awareness of IT delivery methodologies such as ITIL, Agile, or Scrum Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO certifications) are desirable but not essential What We Offer | Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou Salary range: NZD $85,000 – $100,000 per annum Full-time 40 hours per week, permanent role Free AA Membership for you and your whānau* Discounted insurance products One paid day off for your birthday Learning and development opportunities Flexible working arrangements and supportive team environment Working with AA New Zealand | Me mahi tahi tātou ki AA For over 120 years, AA has supported New Zealanders on their journeys and remains one of the country’s most trusted organisations.
