About the role AHA has a dedicated IT team, supporting a wide range of projects which provide critical infrastructure and services across Australia on behalf of governments. We’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and provide support with all aspects of security and compliance, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. This role will also be responsible for coordinating organisational security training initiatives and championing user awareness. You will: Install, configure and maintain systems, tools and hardware Support the implementation and documentation of Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and procedures Lead organisational security training initiatives Identify vulnerabilities, evaluate countermeasures, and recommend mitigation strategies Assist with the incident response lifecycle - from detection and containment to eradication, recovery, and post-incident reporting Support with ongoing compliance requirements, including regular reviews and exercises Work from home up to four days a week and in our Melbourne office with your team one day a week. About you You have: An undergraduate degree in computer science, cyber security or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in cyber security operations or a similar role Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure and 365 administration Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) and the ability to craft custom detections and dashboards Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.) Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Command line and Bash Strong written communication skills, and the ability to write for different audiences IT support experience (desirable) ASD Information Security Manual (ISM) experience (desirable).
