SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Security, Engineering or a related business discipline
• Demonstrated work experience in an Information Security related role, ideally in the financial services industry
• IT Security certifications and further studies such CISSP, CoBIT, ISO27K, CISM, CRISC would be beneficial
• Strong evidence of professional commitment to maintain currency of Information Security knowledge and skills
• Experience in information security governance and risk management
• Experience responding to information security events
• Experience in project delivery, ideally in Information Security or IT related projects
• Previous experience with managing stakeholders and vendors
• Experience in cloud security, ideally using the Azure platform
• A working knowledge and understanding of the technology and systems environment of information security service providers, vendors and third-party.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is key in supporting the Information Security Lead in delivering the Information Security Strategy and monitoring Avant systems and technology services.

THIS IS A VARIED ROLE WITH THREE MAIN PRIORITIES:

1. Responsibility for assisting with the delivery of key information security projects
2. Monitoring and responding to information security alerts
3. Supporting business lines with BAU information security requests.
