We are seeking a passionate individual who is deeply committed to cybersecurity and possesses a risk-prevention mindset. This person will join us in our mission to mitigate, minimise, and prevent security breaches and risks. The Cybersecurity Analyst will report to the IT Risk and Compliance Manager and will be responsible for proactively monitoring security issues, providing reactive support, and documenting security incidents. Your efforts will support the Security Team in reducing and managing security-related incidents. Due to the nature of the role, there is a requirement to be available via phone after ordinary work hours to deal with any emergency situations. Our Port Melbourne site is not only the home of Vegemite it is also the home of other Australian iconic products, such as Bega Peanut Butter, Bega Simply Nuts, Zoosh and Cream Cheese. VEGEMITE has been proudly made in Port Melbourne, Australia since 1923. Responsibilities Proactively monitor and analyse Bega's IT infrastructure to identify and respond to security threats, breaches, and vulnerabilities. Evaluate security events from a range of tools to improve threat detection and response capabilities. Identify and address gaps in security monitoring tools while optimising security configurations for enhanced protection. Lead user security training initiatives, including conducting periodic phishing simulations to bolster organisational awareness. Support the implementation and documentation of ISMS policies in accordance with NIST frameworks, ensuring robust security controls are in place. About you: A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, governance, and risk management. The ability to collaborate, communicate, and influence team members at all levels. Proven experience of 2-3 years in roles such as Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Security Administrator. Experience in monitoring, analysing, and responding to security threats and incidents affecting technology systems, as well as implementing protective controls. Security certifications, such as Security+, CEH, CISM, CISSP, or ITIL, are highly regarded. Bega Group Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
