Our client is a growing Managed Cyber Security Services Provider experiencing continued growth across its customer base. Supporting organisations ranging from small businesses through to large enterprise environments, they are known for their hands-on approach to cyber security operations, incident response and threat investigation.With a strong technical culture and a commitment to delivering genuine security outcomes, they are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join their Security Operations team in Adelaide.

Your new role

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role within a high-performing SOC environment, working across multiple customer environments to investigate security incidents, analyse threats and improve security operations.You will be responsible for:


- Monitoring and investigating security alerts and incidents

- Conducting threat hunting and root cause analysis activities

- Supporting cyber incident response and containment efforts

- Reviewing trends and identifying opportunities for detection improvements

- Contributing to rule tuning and optimisation of security tooling

- Working closely with technical teams and customers to deliver security outcomes

- Assisting in the ongoing maturity and development of SOC capabilities


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:


- Previous experience within a SOC, MSSP or cyber operations environment

- Hands-on experience investigating security alerts and incidents

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- The ability to investigate beyond the initial alert and understand underlying causes

- MSSP experience

- Threat hunting experience

- Exposure to Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, CrowdStrike, Splunk or similar technologies

- Home lab projects, cyber certifications or personal technical development initiatives

- Experience supporting multiple customer environments
