Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Cyber Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of advanced security systems across enterprise environments. This role is responsible for developing security architecture frameworks, identifying cyber risks, and delivering secure-by-design solutions that align with business goals and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in security controls, cloud security, enterprise infrastructure, and governance frameworks, and will play a lead role in defining the organisation’s cyber defence strategy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security with at least 2–3 years in security architecture or design roles.
  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption, identity management, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and endpoint protection.
  • Proficiency with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, IAM, MFA, EDR, firewalls, VPNs, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Hands-on experience designing secure systems in cloud-native, hybrid, or on-premise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight, OWASP).
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and risk communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture covering infrastructure, applications, data, identity, and cloud platforms.
  • Lead security assessments, threat modelling, and risk analysis during the solution design phase for new systems or services.
  • Define and implement security reference architectures and ensure adherence to frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust.
  • Oversee the integration of security tools and controls across network, endpoint, identity, and cloud layers (e.g., SIEM, EDR, CASB, IAM, firewalls).
  • Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, and cloud architects to embed security-by-design principles in SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Review security incidents and recommend architectural enhancements to improve resilience and reduce attack surfaces.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and architectural documentation, ensuring alignment with internal governance and external regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in incident response planning, disaster recovery architecture, and business continuity strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to security engineering and operations teams, and advise executives on cyber risks.
  • Liaise with vendors, regulators, and third parties to ensure security architecture is compliant and up to date with emerging threats.
