JOB SUMMARY

A Cyber Security Architect is responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of secure IT networks and systems. They ensure that security measures protect the organization’s data, infrastructure, and assets from cyber threats. The role involves risk assessment, security architecture design, policy development, and collaboration with IT teams to integrate security best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSTECHNICAL SKILLS

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
• Expertise in network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption protocols.
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint security, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in security testing, penetration testing, and ethical hacking.
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), PKI, and zero-trust architecture.

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead security initiatives and influence stakeholders.
• Team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on security architecture.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Security).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with DevSecOps and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of blockchain, AI security, or IoT security.
• Previous experience in a security leadership or advisory role.
