Description
Support the cybersecurity program by assisting in risk management processes, maintaining policies and procedures, monitoring security events, identifying and responding to threats and vulnerabilities, and helping ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Responsibilities Assess cyber risks, identify necessary security controls, monitor their effectiveness, and evaluate their effectiveness. Prepare periodic reports on the overall status of cybersecurity. Assist in responding to cyber incidents in a timely manner. ensuring regular follow-up on vulnerability assessments and penetration testing results to close and mitigate all gaps withing the deadlines set. Analyze security logs and data to identify potential anomalies and threats. Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls. Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to remain up to date on the best protective strategies. Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures. Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor. Review Access requests on data and systems following Need to know, and Least privileges principle. conduct regular checks to pinpoint weaknesses in the cybersecurity posture. maintain and improve technical knowledge through continuing education opportunity. Assist in strengthening cybersecurity awareness across the organization by regularly updating awareness materials with the latest topics and trends, and by implementing comprehensive awareness campaigns for all employees using a variety of formats and tools. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or any related field. 1-4 Years and above of professional Cybersecurity or information security experience. Preferred Skills Relevant certifications such as Security+, or CEH. Hands-on experience with application security tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies. Knowledge of secure coding practices and SDLC. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Problem solving.
