  • It is a fully remote role that will need to be based in the U.S.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position involves working closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, and then translating these into technical specifications for the Cyber Security team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of both business processes and technical systems, enabling them to effectively communicate and collaborate with both business and Cyber Security teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of business processes and technical systems.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with project management software and tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or related field.
Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
  • Understand the business problem and primary objectives of new projects, challenging and validating the key business objectives and scope.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements.
  • Analyze and document business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Define Project Success Criteria.

Technical Specification Development:

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Work with Cyber teams to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Develop use cases, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements in a manner that supports the efficient translation of these into solution / technical requirements.
  • Where required, support the analysis and creation of data flows to ensure integrity of data within final solutions.
  • Assess the impact of any changes that will be made to people, process and/or systems.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Identify and document defects and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and Cyber teams.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate project status and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance business processes and systems.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned.
