MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cyber Security
  • Professional membership of ISACA or ISC2, ideally with cyber certifications.
  • Experience working in a similar role inhouse or MSP.
  • 2 years’ (min) relevant information security project experience.
  • Google Workspace & MS 365 security administration experience.
  • Change & incident management.
  • Have a high attention to detail.
  • Be highly organised and deadline focused.
  • Have a strong, confident customer focus.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is an experienced IT system engineer with identifiable information security skills, already contributing to the deployment and providing key security tasks to our key accounts. This individual will take ownership of escalated issues from client & Optimity stakeholders working closely with Optimity’s IT Network & Security Lead, as well as other technical leads in the organisation
This is a hands-on, client facing role to suit a capable individual with a passion for information technology and the desire to develop their skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributing to deployment of Cybersecurity related projects and tasks for Key/Strategic clients and internal Optimity including, but not limited to, Phishing Simulations, identity provider security posture, email gateway security, infrastructure firmware upgrades, backups, security appliance ACL policies
  • Carrying out Cybersecurity related health checks for key/strategic clients and internal Optimity such as reviewing EDR, M365 Defender and overall infrastructure security.
  • Responding to Cybersecurity related alerts/events for key/strategic clients and internal Optimity including, but not limited to, security advisories for firmware on infrastructure, application vulnerabilities and critical patches.
  • Assisting CIO/IT Network & Security Lead with security/general related certifications/accreditations for clients and internal Optimity such as Cyber Essentials+ and ISO27001
  • Contributing to R&D for potential new products/solutions to be placed into the security stack.
  • Providing input for Cybersecurity related documentation.
  • Participating in internal Cybersecurity meetings which includes, but not limited to, discussions about current in-flight cybersecurity projects/tasks, results of any R&D for products/solutions and anything generally related to cybersecurity.
  • Keeping abreast of cybersecurity related products and solutions.
  • Provide deep technical customer facing and remote support.
  • Attend customer sites in London when required.
  • Strong technical skills in LAN connectivity, routers, security, operating systems, virtualisation technologies, BDR and cloud SaaS solutions.
  • Assist technical account director provide services to include system reviews and specific client-relevant recommendations.
  • Ensure consistency of existing systems through creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Ensure all infrastructure changes are completed in accordance with upcoming project requirements.
  • Provide consistent and transparent reporting to peers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that support risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated and that breakout projects are delivered successfully through to production.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Communicate to customers: keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages and managing expectations.
  • Coaching and training.
  • Demonstrate a sound commercial understanding of the Optimity brand and business – and be aware of commercial opportunities with existing clients.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of Optimity’s products and services.
