Overview:
SOSi is on the lookout for a sharp, experienced Cyber Engineer 3 to join our team in Doral, FL. If you’re someone who loves solving tough problems, locking down networks, and keeping systems running smoothly, this role is for you. You’ll get to work on a wide range of tech—from network architecture to cybersecurity tools—and help support a mission that truly matters. We’re looking for someone who’s hands-on, thinks ahead, and is always looking for ways to make systems better, faster, and more secure.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize HBSS to perform network scans and determine areas of vulnerability.
  • Recommend solutions and areas of improvement for the cyber hardening of the network
  • Establish IT requirements in the development of enterprise-wide/ large-scale Client/Server infrastructures (CAN, MAN, WAN).
  • Design architectures to include operating systems, applications, and hardware to support total customer requirements as well as to provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems.
  • Maintain a server change log to document issues and resolutions for future reference.
  • Perform back up and restoration procedures.
  • Update and maintain anti-virus software.
  • Account creation and active directory management (group policy, privilege management).
  • Validate and test all server and workstation updates, patches, and upgrades prior to implementing on the network.
  • Apply and enforce patches, updates, and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and services (i.e. VMware, Domain Controllers, SharePoint, Sametime, WSUS, SQL and SCCM).
  • Install, configure, and update application software.
  • Perform Configuration Management functions to include license management.
  • Monitor and report system performance (i.e. issues with CPU activity, drive space, temperature).

Qualifications:

  • Eligible for TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent years of related experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience directly related to Network Administration/Engineering on DoD networks to include:
  • COMSEC experience- KG175, KG250, loading key and configuration.
  • Cisco LAN switch configuration.
  • Cisco router configuration.
  • Cisco ASA firewall experience.
  • Experience with SolarWinds installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) or higher is required.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office conditions.
  • Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
  • May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet z(program and contract needs.
  • On government site within Miami (Droal) , FL 33172.
