POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at Langley AFB. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and KR cyber security policies, administer security solutions, and support hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This is an onsite role requiring an active Top Secret clearance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM and security monitoring solutions.
  • Proficiency in configuring and using tools such as:


    • ACAS / Tenable Nessus

    • McAfee EPO / McAfee Move / HBSS
    • SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
    • LogRhythm
    • AWS CloudWatch
    • Ability to identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in hybrid cloud infrastructures.
    • Skilled at preparing and delivering technical documentation, reports, and security briefings.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills to support cross-functional teams.
    Responsibilities
    • Ensure compliance with KR and DoD cyber security policies, procedures, and Authorization to Operate (ATO) conditions.
    • Review IaaS-related software release notes and provide security-focused recommendations for approval.
    • Draft, deliver, and brief reports on cyber security status, findings, and remediation efforts.
    • Monitor SIEM, Syslog, and related security tools for alerts, misconfigurations, and potential threats.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to advise on product reviews, implementations, and best practices that strengthen security posture.
    • Configure and operate security tools across cloud and on-premises environments, such as ACAS, HBSS, CloudWatch, LogRhythm, and Microsoft System Center.
    • Apply industry best practices, DISA STIGs, vendor-specific documentation, and internal KR policies to secure hybrid cloud environments.
    • Work closely with KR security personnel and DoD stakeholders to maintain compliance and improve security operations.
