Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Analyst with hands-on ZScaler experience to support and enhance cybersecurity infrastructure for a federal customer. This is a fully onsite role based in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ZScaler technologies, network security, and enterprise-scale environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of Cyber Security experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ZScaler.
  • 2+ years in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Foundational networking and DNS skills.
  • Experience with routing, network forwarding, and traffic inspection.
  • ZIA, ZPA, ZDX configuration and policy setup.
  • Familiarity with log forwarding protocols (Syslog, GRE/IPSec tunnels).
  • Proficiency with static IP configuration, NAT, and subnetting.
  • Experience with private Service Edges, App Connectors, and ZTNA policies.
  • Exposure to firewall policies, proxy chaining, and PAC file management.
  • Application development from ZPA.
  • Integration experience with Okta, CyberArk, and Splunk.
  • Troubleshooting connectivity and latency issues across distributed architectures.
  • Working knowledge of SSL inspection, VPN integration, MFA, and identity providers.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW) for request and incident ticket handling.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, installation, implementation, and support of existing and new cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Perform minor and major ZScaler ruleset upgrades as needed.
  • Develop and deliver stock and ad hoc ZIA reporting.
  • Support Change Management processes impacting production environments.
  • Document and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Respond to requests and incidents within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Collaborate with Program and Project Management throughout the performance period.
  • Attend team and customer meetings regularly.
  • Provide training to government personnel and successors on solution administration and operational use.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide on-call support during non-business hours.
