We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations professional with a deep understanding of Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) practices. You excel in analysing and enhancing the effectiveness of SOC operations, threat detection, and incident response.
Your expertise lies in deploying, configuring, and managing security tools and technologies within SOC environments. Clients value your proficiency, integrity, and your ability to deliver precise and actionable SOC recommendations. You are a collaborative team player, eager to go above and beyond to support clients, colleagues, and stay abreast of emerging technologies and threats in the SOC landscape.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) consulting or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of SOC best practices, threat detection, incident response, and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and managing security tools within SOC environments (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in cyber security and SOC operations (e.g., CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in the enhancement of Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities, leveraging your subject matter expertise.
  • Assess SOC operational needs, distinguishing between immediate requirements and long-term strategic objectives. Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage security tools within the SOC environment to ensure optimal threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Conduct regular reviews and fine-tuning of SOC processes, procedures, and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate threat intelligence feeds, playbooks, and response workflows into SOC operations.
  • Develop, document, and communicate SOC playbooks and incident response plans to ensure a coordinated and effective response to security incidents.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in SOC operations, providing proactive advisory to clients on potential impacts and improvements.
  • Conduct periodic SOC readiness assessments, identifying gaps and proposing targeted enhancements.
  • Draft and communicate technical SOC policies, standards, and guidelines, tailored to operational environments.
  • Provide expert guidance on SOC tool selection, adoption, and configuration to align with clients’ operational environments and requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients on SOC operational enhancements, providing expertise in threat detection and incident response.
