On behalf of our aviation client, Procom is searching for a Cyber Security Operations Practice Lead for a 12 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Nisku, Alberta office.

CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS PRACTICE LEAD - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Cyber Security Operations Practice Lead is responsible for managing the organization’s cybersecurity operations, ensuring the protection of digital assets. This role involves leading a team of cybersecurity professionals to develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls that align with regulatory requirements.

CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS PRACTICE LEAD - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity operations, including security tools and technologies.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.
  • Experience with incident response and threat management.

CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS PRACTICE LEAD – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with security risk assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of digital forensics techniques.
  • Understanding of application security technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, including security analysts, engineers, and incident responders.
  • Oversee daily cybersecurity operations, including security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and manage security tools and technologies for effective threat mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan and lead incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in cybersecurity operations.
