Description
Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Engineer to provide services including strategic planning and policy development, adherence to security policies including for Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) operations, activities, and advisory assistance to enable the protection of sensitive technologies. The individual will work closely with the U.S. Space Force Space Based Interceptor (SBI) Program Management Office and coordinate across multiple DoD organizations including the Missile Defense Agency. The SME will function in multi-level classified environment to include SAP and SCI. The candidate must be a self-starter who possesses initiative, excellent communication skills, the ability to lead diverse teams to collaborate effectively, and a proven problem solver. This position is in Huntsville, Alabama or , Colorado Springs, Colorado. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Ensuring adherence to and assisting in the development of strategic and operational security policies and guidance for protecting sensitive technologies and classified information related to critical national security projects Advising the customer(s) on current security policies and procedures for obtaining and maintaining SAP and SCI accesses Providing expertise on current policies and procedures for obtaining and maintaining accreditation for connectivity between multiple classified networks and facilities Liaising with other security offices, company, and government leadership, and representatives from other organizations to properly implement policies, processes, countermeasures, and enhanced security protocols to reduce vulnerabilities to sensitive technologies Advising the customer on Assessment and Authorization of Information Technology systems Identifying, reporting, and addressing deficiencies in support of regulatory compliance Assisting functional planners in identifying Operations Security (OPSEC) indicators and helping to implement OPSEC measures to protect program activities Interpreting and implementing security guidance for classification management and safeguarding requirements Assisting in the development and implementation of SAP and SCI security education and training programs designed and tailored to meet specific requirements of the unit Required Qualifications: Education /Certification Requirements: Bachelors in Information Technology or related technical field with 12 years of applicable cyber security experience; or Masters with 10 years related experience. Required Experience: 12+ years of employing technical experience in information technology, cybersecurity, and/or systems engineering Experience with industrial, personnel, physical, and cyber security programs Experience working in cloud and containerization Hands on SAP experience in the past 8 years Demonstrated experience assessing and mitigating risk to networks through the identification of threats and vulnerabilities Deep understanding of ICS 705 requirements and technology required to meet those standards Desired Experience: Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity needs of systems at varied stages of the systems life development cycle Experience working on DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation Experience working on-site in a government client environment Cloud security implementation experience Familiarity and experience with NSA requirements for COMSEC Familiarity with applying system security engineering processes to various client programs Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as follow detailed instructions for completing tasks Demonstrated ability to drive projects to closure, and to assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Required Clearance: Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility; US Citizenship required. SAP eligibility is highly desired. Location/Travel Requirements: This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. or Huntsville, AL. Remote work is very limited May required up to 20% travel within the continental United States. The pay range for this position in Colorado only is $120,000 to $190,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
