ATMOS Space Cargo is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist (m/f/d) to help protect our infrastructure, data, and people as we grow. In this role, you will work closely with our IT Administrator to secure our systems, monitor for threats, and strengthen our security practices as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

  • You will monitor our IT environment for security threats and respond to incidents when they occur.
  • You will assess and harden the security configuration of our core systems (identity, endpoints, network, and cloud services).
  • You will support to develop, implement and continuously improve internal IT security policies and support security-awareness efforts across the company.
  • You will conduct regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments, and track findings through to resolution.
  • You will support patch management and endpoint security across our device fleet.
  • You will support risk assessments, audits, and compliance activities related to frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIS2.
  • You will work closely with our IT Administrator on day-to-day IT security operations.

Profile required

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, security operations, or system administration with a security focus.
  • Vocational training or degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or a comparable field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Solid understanding of core security concepts: identity and access management, endpoint protection, network security, and vulnerability management.
  • Practical experience with security monitoring or incident response (e.g., SIEM, EDR, or similar tools).
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in a fast-moving, still-forming environment.
  • Business-fluent German and English (spoken and written).

Preferred qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks or compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2).
  • Experience securing cloud environments and productivity platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar).
  • Experience in a startup or fast-scaling company environment.
