Logicomms Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cyber Security Specialist to lead cyber security improvements for our SME clientele in line with the guidance set out by the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

SUITABLE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
· Specific certification or experience in Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus processes.
· Proven experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
· Strong understanding of NCSC guidance and its practical application for SME organisations.
· Experience in policy development, log analysis, and incident response planning.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple client projects effectively.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Cyber Security Specialist at Logicomms Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security posture of small and medium-sized enterprises. You will work hands-on with our customers to assess, plan, implement, and monitor effective cyber security strategies that are both pragmatic and robust.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conduct comprehensive baseline cyber security assessments for SME clients, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
· Recommend and detail products and services tailored to address identified security gaps, ensuring solutions are appropriate and cost-effective.
· Guide clients through the process of achieving Cyber Essentials certification, providing support from initial assessment through to successful certification.
· Assist organisations that have achieved Cyber Essentials certification in progressing to Cyber Essentials Plus, ensuring compliance with the highest standards.
· Develop, review, and update cyber security policy documents specific to each client’s requirements and risk profile.
· Conduct annual security audits to ensure ongoing compliance and to surface emerging risks and opportunities for enhancement.
· Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify and remediate potential threats.
· Monitor, review, and analyse security logs across core platforms to detect, investigate, and respond to suspicious activity.
· Assess the cyber security risks posed by third-party suppliers and support clients in managing these relationships securely.
· Develop and refine incident response and disaster recovery plans, ensuring clients are prepared to respond effectively to security incidents and disruptions.
