About The Position

One of our Operating Companies, Concept Data is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join their Adelaide team.

In this role, you'll act as the cyber security subject matter expert across a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients, helping them navigate cyber risk, compliance obligations, security frameworks and ongoing improvement initiatives. Rather than sitting behind the scenes, you'll work directly with business leaders, translating technical risks into clear business outcomes and helping clients make informed decisions about their cyber security journey.

You'll work closely with Account Managers, technical delivery teams, and business stakeholders to develop security roadmaps, manage compliance programs, coordinate remediation activities, and drive meaningful security improvements across a diverse client base

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted cyber security advisor to clients, providing practical risk and compliance guidance.
  • Conduct security assessments, gap analyses and develop improvement roadmaps.
  • Support compliance initiatives including Essential Eight, SMB1001 and ISO 27001.
  • Manage risk registers, remediation plans and compliance documentation.
  • Present security findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cyber security and compliance projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Partner with Account Managers and technical teams to drive positive client outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen security posture and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to the development of security services, frameworks and best practices.

Skills And Experience

  • Experience in cyber security, risk, compliance or advisory-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, governance and risk management.
  • Experience conducting assessments, identifying risks and developing improvement plans.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of Essential Eight, SMB1001 and/or ISO 27001 is desirable.

  • MSP, MSSP or IT Services experience.
  • Strong client engagement, presentation and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent organisation and stakeholder management capabilities.
