Description:

Role: Cyber Security Technical Specialist
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Location: Hybrid/Kings Hill
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Technical Specialist to join our dynamic Cyber Security Operations team at Cantium Business Solutions. In this critical role, you will provide expert-level technical support and leadership to enhance our security posture, ensuring the safety of our clients and their information technology infrastructure.

WHAT WE NEED:

  • A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or a related field.
  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-500, SSCP, AZ-500, or equivalent).
  • 3+ years of experience in Cyber Security, preferably in a SOC or CSIRT environment.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Security Products (E5, Sentinel), Identity and Access Management, and security monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview Compliance Solutions, including DLP, Insider Risk Management, and Information Protection.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage security solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Logic Apps).

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an escalation point for security alerts, incidents, and requests, managing and minimizing threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead investigations into high-priority incidents, documenting findings, and driving timely resolutions.
  • Fine-tune security tools (e.g., SIEM, Darktrace) to enhance detection, response, and threat management.
  • Support continuous improvements in security tooling, processes, and automation.
  • Collaborate on large-scale infrastructure changes, ensuring technical solutions align with industry best practices and security frameworks.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the development of Playbooks, automated responses, and the overall Cyber Security Team strategy.
  • Assist with customer account management, ensuring that security solutions meet the needs of our clients.
