Are you passionate about cutting-edge network and systems engineering? At Peraton, we’re seeking a talented Cyber Systems Engineer to become an integral part of our dynamic Cyber Intel team supporting next-generation Cloud Operations in Laurel, MD.
This is your opportunity to leverage your strong background in Network and Systems Engineering to drive innovative solutions that empower mission-critical cloud environments. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring our network systems meet and exceed evolving customer needs through expert design, implementation, and optimization.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph required
  • Minimum 14 years of systems engineering experience on complex programs and contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field from an accredited institution is required
  • 5 additional years of systems engineering can substitute for the degree
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Collaborate with engineering and network teams to translate customer requirements into robust, scalable network architectures.
  • Design, configure, and maintain advanced data networks supporting mission-driven cloud operations.
  • Develop detailed network architecture specifications and schematics tailored to current and future operational demands.
  • Recommend and implement hardware and software solutions that optimize network performance and capacity.
  • Lead the design and deployment of failover and redundancy solutions to ensure continuous, reliable network availability for key customers.
  • Manage and integrate a wide range of network devices and technologies, including routers, firewalls, switches, and more.
  • Provide expert support for server networking needs, including load balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, and network address translation (NAT).
  • Apply your expertise with Cisco technologies such as ASA appliances, Nexus 9k switches, 2960-XR Layer 2 switches, and Cisco Catalyst 6500 series equipment.
  • Conduct advanced network configurations and tests, including GRE tunnels, MPLS, and redundancy assessments on Cisco platforms.
