ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is supporting the delivery of the cyber security program, providing the hands-on technical skills for deployment and configuration of security tools. They will be a collaborative and proactive team member, excited and interested in learning new technology and processes, and able to work closely with other technical team members to develop solutions. They will work closely with the Program Manager and other technical experts. You will play a crucial part in supporting the configuration and maintenance of SIEM and EDR tools and technologies. – Sydney or Brisbane office.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the threat intelligence and vulnerability management function.
• Understand and promote the concept of threat-lead vulnerability management.
• Organise responses to zero day vulnerabilities, and proactive threat detection activities for cyber breaches in the wild.
• Join the threat intelligence community provide representation for the company.
• Lead a formalised threat hunting program and track hunting initiatives, working alongside the security operations team.
• Mentor junior analysts and interns, introducing them into threat intelligence and how it is consumed by cyber professionals.
• Create threat landscape presentations and conduct regular vulnerability management reporting for technology and leadership stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the Security Operations Centre staff to recommend improvements to security coverage, log source onboarding, use case development, and toolset training.
• Enhancing the quality of dashboards and use case alerting to optimize threat detection and response.
