Job Description Cybersecurity Engineer - Fredericksburg, Va. or Virginia Beach, Va. Responsibilities • Develop and implement cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and procedures supporting advanced Navy combat systems. • Conduct research, analysis, and coordination activities related to DoD cyber assurance and cybersecurity policy initiatives across multiple classification levels. • Lead cybersecurity and policy working groups, developing strategies to mitigate emerging cyber threats. • Perform engineering design, analysis, and documentation of cybersecurity aspects for combat systems, ensuring compliance with applicable DoD and Navy policies. • Conduct gap analyses of cybersecurity, intelligence, and information technology policy for afloat and tactical systems. • Develop comprehensive risk assessment analyses and risk mitigation plans for assigned systems. • Create technical documentation outlining cybersecurity requirements, threat assessments, system engineering artifacts, and mitigation recommendations. • Utilize or develop Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models to perform cybersecurity analysis and traceability. • Collaborate with system engineers, integrators, and program stakeholders to ensure security measures are effectively implemented and sustained throughout the system lifecycle. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 7 years’ recent hands on experience with the above listed skills, cybersecurity engineering, military system specifications, and DoD Information Assurance policies, analyze, design, and document secure system architectures for classified environments using MBSE tools and methods, on/in a SLBM or C4ISR DoD environment. • REQUIRED EDUCATION: BS/BA STEM Degree or Related Fields. • REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s): CompTIA Security+ (CE), CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, CND. • REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Active TS. • MUST Be available to work on site at Virginia Beach, Va. or/and travel to Fredericksburg, Va. sites.
