Salary: Starting salary range for a cybersecurity analyst III is $96,000 - $120,000. The salary is negotiable and will be based on experience, qualifications, and the value the candidate brings to the organization.

Cybersecurity Analyst Job Functions:

  • Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats, investigate alerts, respond to incidents, and perform post-incident root cause analysis.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to help design secure systems and networks.
  • Conduct and review vulnerability scans and assessments, prioritize remediation efforts based on risk and business impact, and collaborate with system owners to ensure timely patching and configuration changes.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and enforcing security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and regulations.
  • Research, recommend, and help implement new tools, technologies, or workflows to enhance the organization’s security posture.
  • Assist with cybersecurity awareness training program.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents, overall security posture, and key performance indicators.

Our ideal Cybersecurity Analyst should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Minimum of eight years of information technology experience with at least three years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with security architecture, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and risk analysis.
  • Experience managing security and technology controls.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls and segmentation, Microsoft Azure security services, identity protection and access management frameworks.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and balancing security goals with stakeholder needs.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CySA+ preferred.
