Job Details Job Location: Birmingham, AL 35203 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: Negligible Summary: Maynard Nexsen is seeking to hire a Cybersecurity Analyst to meet growing regulatory and client expectations and ensure comprehensive risk management. This role will provide critical support across governance, operational monitoring, internal compliance, and client-facing due diligence requirements. Essential Job Functions: Assist in policy and procedure development and updates. Track compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and internal controls. Monitor and analyze firewall logs and alerts for anomalies or threats. Act as a secondary operator for CrowdStrike, handling real-time threat detection and response. Run and report on vulnerability assessments, working with teams to drive remediation. Support the CISO in preparation for SOC 2 audits by collecting evidence, mapping controls, and coordinating with auditors. Conduct internal audits to assess effectiveness of security controls. Prepare responses to security questionnaires from clients and business partners. Work with attorneys and intake to ensure timely, accurate, and aligned communication of the company’s security posture. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role Experience in information security or related field Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them Educational and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred 1-2 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst Law firm experience preferred Work Environment and Physical Demands: • In office position • Ability to work extended hours when necessary. • Normal office environment; no unusual physical demands.
