Vretta is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Systems and Security team. This position requires creative problem solving and sound technical ability to understand requirements, and support the maintenance of the cybersecurity standards and compliances.
The Cybersecurity Analyst should have the attitude and energy to contribute to an innovative and dynamic environment to facilitate learning and assessment solutions and support student success.

REQUIREMENTS

  • One to three years experience in cybersecurity or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, GDPR compliance).
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Arctic Wolf, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, mitigations.
  • Must demonstrate a learning mindset with an eagerness and interest in technology.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor, investigate, and remediate security alerts on the threat intelligence platform.
  • Coordinate investigations into security incidents and provide timely and effective responses.
  • Maintain and implement risk mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate regular vulnerability assessments to identify and prioritize security weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure a secure computing environment.
  • Participate in the planning for disaster recovery in the event of any security breaches.
  • Use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis with engineers and escalation teams for incidents, while implementing permanent solutions.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing the overall security posture.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential risks.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of security infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate security controls into systems and networks.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance assessments to ensure adherence to security standards.
  • Champion a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization.
