About the role

The Cyber Security & IT Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining, securing and improving IAEngg's internal IT systems and cyber security environment. You will support our Microsoft 365 environment, cloud platforms, business systems and cyber security controls, ensuring our technology remains reliable, secure and efficient. While the primary focus is internal IT and cyber security, you will also have opportunities to support engineering consulting projects and contribute to innovative digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor security events, investigate incidents and coordinate remediation.
  • Support compliance with recognised cyber security frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain IT and cyber security documentation.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, networks and technology vendors.
  • Implement and maintain cyber security controls including MFA, endpoint protection and email security.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to employees.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID and cloud services.
  • Maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and business applications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business systems, automation and digital capability.
  • Provide technical support to consulting projects when required.

About you

  • Degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years' experience in IT systems administration, IT support or cyber security.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of networking and cyber security fundamentals.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised and keen to learn.
  • Microsoft certifications
  • CompTIA Security+
  • ISC² CC, CISSP or CISM
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender and Azure
