With nearly 60 years of experience, ADGA supports federal clients and Canada’s intelligence and enforcement agencies through embedded teams, advisory services, and full project execution, applying deep operational expertise and innovation to strengthen national safety, resilience, and sovereignty. Guided by a strong social mandate, the company creates meaningful employment for veterans of the CAF and RCMP and other professionals committed to public service, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and agile workplace that supports career development, professional growth, and impactful work across Canada.

Job Description

ADGA is seeking a Senior Operational Technology (OT) and Cybersecurity Systems Specialist. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, planning, and design activities related to Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology/Operational Technology (IT/OT) environments supporting critical infrastructure and facilities. The role focuses on evaluating cyber resiliency, modernizing legacy systems, and recommending secure, scalable architectures in accordance with industry best practices and Government of Canada and Department of National Defence (DND) requirements.

Working within multidisciplinary teams, the specialist will perform assessments of industrial and building systems across various DND facilities throughout Canada and develop strategic recommendations to improve cyber posture, operational resilience, and integration between OT and enterprise IT networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory, document, and assess OT and IT assets, systems, interfaces, and facility infrastructure environments.
  • Perform detailed assessments of operational technology and facility control systems, including building automation, digital controls, lighting management, physical security and safety systems, industrial control systems, PLCs, and SCADA environments.
  • Identify system dependencies, communication protocols, operational requirements, and IT/OT interconnections.
  • Develop and maintain asset inventories, system diagrams, interface documentation, and data flows.
  • Evaluate the cybersecurity posture, resiliency, and operational continuity of OT environments and their integration with enterprise IT networks.
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments and gap analyses using recognized industry and Government of Canada standards and frameworks, including NIST, IEC 62443, and ITSG-33.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, risks, single points of failure, and impacts to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies, security controls, segmentation approaches, and architectural improvements.
  • Analyze modernization and IT/OT convergence options through trade-off assessments considering cybersecurity, operational requirements, lifecycle costs, maintainability, and resiliency.
  • Develop conceptual and detailed network architectures, secure communication strategies, remote access solutions, and monitoring capabilities for OT and IT/OT environments.
  • Produce technical documentation and design deliverables, including network diagrams, segmentation strategies, integration designs, and migration roadmaps.
