About the role As our Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in uplifting and maintaining the security of our enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and end‑user environments. You’ll partner closely with technology and business teams to embed security into everyday operations, ensuring GWA maintains a strong, proactive and risk‑aligned security posture. This role offers hands‑on technical variety, ownership, and the opportunity to influence the way security is designed, managed and scaled across the organisation. What you’ll do Endpoint & EUC Security Lead secure configuration, hardening and lifecycle management of end‑user devices (Windows, iOS/iPadOS, Android). Oversee Intune provisioning, compliance and application control (WDAC/AppLocker). Manage endpoint security capabilities across MDE, WUfB/Autopatch, Autopilot and application deployment. Build automation for device onboarding, drift detection, remediation and packaging. Autopilot troubleshooting of Windows and macOS. Security Engineering & Operations Automate security controls and response using PowerShell, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and Microsoft Graph. Enhance threat detection and response using Rapid7 and Defender XDR. Collaborate with the SOC or MDR . Manage data protection and insider risk via Microsoft Purview (DLP, IRM, Information Protection). Identity, Governance & Compliance Support ISO 27001 implementation, audit readiness and compliance uplift. Manage Azure AD/Entra ID identity controls including Conditional Access, PIM and Zero Trust governance. Strengthen vulnerability management processes using Rapid7 and Defender tooling. Document Cyber operations processes and KB contribution. Collaboration Security & Awareness Secure Microsoft collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online). Contribute to organisation‑wide security awareness and training. What you’ll bring Skills & experience 3–6 years’ experience in cyber security engineering, with strong EUC and Intune expertise (500+ devices). Hands‑on experience designing and enforcing WDAC or AppLocker policies. Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud security technologies including Azure, M365, Conditional Access, PIM and Zero Trust. Experience with automation tooling such as PowerShell, Graph API, Terraform and CI/CD. Experience with Rapid7, Sentinel, Defender and other cloud‑native SIEM/SOAR platforms. Practical experience with ISO 27001, Essential Eight or similar compliance frameworks. Qualifications Degree in IT, Cybersecurity or a related field. Relevant certifications desirable: AZ‑500, SC‑200, SC‑400, CISSP, OSCP, GIAC. Ready to make an impact?
