About The Role We’re looking for a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer This is a role for engineers who want to build, automate, and improve—not just monitor. What You’ll Do Use AI/ML or LLM-based tools to accelerate detection, enrich investigations, and support real-time response automation Automate tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to reduce manual workflows and improve enforcement Deploy and manage security tools or policies across identity, cloud, endpoint, and network with platforms like Okta, SentinelOne, and Zscaler Implement and maintain security configurations in Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments aligned with Zero Trust and least privilege principles Participate in architecture and design reviews, providing actionable security recommendations for new infrastructure, applications, or system changes Perform technical risk assessments using frameworks like NIST CSF to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective, compensating, or administrative controls Review cloud, network, and firewall change requests for potential exposure or policy violations Research and evaluate emerging security threats, tools, and best practices helping shape NOV’s defensive strategy Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, infrastructure, identity, OT) to embed security into project delivery and daily operations Other duties as assigned by organization leadership What You Bring Possess strong communications and interpersonal skills in English Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a large enterprise environment Experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or cloud security engineering Familiarity with identity and access platforms Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for task automation or data handling Solid understanding of network security, endpoint hardening, and cloud-native controls Experience conducting technical risk assessments or design evaluations Exposure to AI-assisted security workflows or a desire to work with AI tooling Preferred Qualifications Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CEH, or similar Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
