ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of a Cybersecurity Engineer at Vianode, you will play a central role in protecting and securing Vianode’s IT and OT environments in accordance with our cybersecurity strategy and management system. We are looking for someone with experience and an interest in working with cybersecurity in the manufacturing industry, and who understands the challenges of maintaining 24/7 production 365 days a year. As a Cybersecurity Engineer at Vianode, you will be key to developing a robust, positive, and stable security environment, driving projects for security improvements, and ensuring that cybersecurity standards are adhered to. You will contribute to identifying and mitigating security threats, as well as ensuring that Vianode’s security protocols and procedures are up-to-date and effective.

    Location: This position is based in Oslo, Kristiansand or Herøya (Porsgrunn) and reports to Cyber Security Manager Vianode AS.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain security solutions in line with cybersecurity strategies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Operationalize security policies into actionable procedures, tasks, and technical controls within the organization.
  • Document processes and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
  • Set up and manage monitoring tools to detect potential threats and security breaches, providing real-time data and alerts.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats and present findings to inform risk management decisions.
  • Analyze new threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization’s technology stack, providing insights that guide strategic planning.
  • Develop specialized training programs for technical staff, ensuring they understand security practices and the importance of their role in protecting the organization.
  • Gather and analyze data related to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance metrics, and report findings to guide decision-making.
  • Develop and track KPIs related to security effectiveness, providing insights into areas that may require further attention or resources.
  • Work with other IT teams, operational technology teams, and business units to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations
