Cybersecurity Operations Specialist, Madrid (near-site) – HOLCIM EMEA Profile: Cybersecurity Operations Specialist (Vulnerability Management). Minimum experience: 2-5 years in IT or cybersecurity roles. Studies required: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field. Language: · Fluency in English, both verbal and written (Minimum B2). · Other local languages are an asset. Location: Madrid (near-site). Maximum 1 day per week on-site. DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to support vulnerability management and security operations for HOLCIM EMEA, working near‑site in Madrid (up to 1 day/week on‑site). The role focuses on reviewing vulnerability scan results, following up on remediation, supporting security assessments, assisting with process automation, and providing first‑line help on security tasks. You will collaborate with IT teams to improve security KPIs, analyze low‑complexity incidents, and contribute to reviewing pentest and audit findings. Candidates should bring 2–5 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, a solid understanding of security principles, and familiarity with areas such as vulnerability management, network/application security, cloud or infrastructure security, or endpoint protection. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are essential. Fluency in English (B2) is required. Key responsibilities: · Support the vulnerability management process, including reviewing scan results, follow-up with internal teams and tracking remediation actions. · Assist in automating repetitive security tasks and improving existing processes to reduce manual workload. · Provide first-line support to the cybersecurity team for security-related requests and operational tasks. · Participate in the review of vulnerability assessments, pentests and audit findings, helping analyze results and track remediation. · Collaborate with IT teams to follow up security KPIs and improve compliance with security standards. · Support security assessments for infrastructure changes, projects or new initiatives. · Help analyze non-complex security incidents and escalate when necessary. · Contribute to the evaluation of security proposals and solutions impacting applications, infrastructure or cloud environments. Required skills & experience: Experience in IT or cybersecurity roles (typically 2–5 years). Basic understanding of IT security principles and technologies. Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: Vulnerability management. Network security. Application security. Cloud or infrastructure security. Endpoint protection tools. Ability to analyze technical information and collaborate with multiple teams. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Nice to have: Exposure to security technologies such as SIEM, WAF, DLP, EDR or vulnerability scanning tools. Experience working with security assessments, audits or pentests. Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, etc.). Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH or ITIL are a plus but not mandatory. Problem-solving.
