We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Professional to join our team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of vulnerability management, DISA STIG compliance, and DoD cybersecurity principles, with the ability to contribute to securing critical systems and networks. This role offers hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment with opportunities for professional growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of vulnerability management processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and their application to DoD systems.
  • Basic scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Understanding of DoD cybersecurity principles, policies, and frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST SP 800 series).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., ACAS, Nessus).
  • Exposure to system hardening in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with DoD network environments and enclave security.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across enterprise systems and networks.
  • Support the application and maintenance of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure system compliance.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation activities with system administrators and engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain simple scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate security and compliance processes.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining security documentation in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks.
  • Stay current with DoD cybersecurity guidance, best practices, and emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with team members to support Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and authorization activities.
