Organization: VEC Cybersecurity Design & Consulting Job Summary: The Cybersecurity Solutions and Consulting team’s main object is to assist the VUMC Workforce with solutioning proposed software, hardware, and project requests. The team will be responsible for researching multiple technologies and determining the most secure way to implement them. The Cybersecurity Solutioning Consultant works with Health IT, Research IT, and VUMC IT with a primary focus on Research IT. The team is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of VEC metrics and KPIs using PowerBI and Tableau. The team also produces technical documentation for various efforts around Cybersecurity and VUMC. . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Request Coordination Research proposed solutions from the VUMC IT workforce and make internal recommendations. Act as a resource for the business analysis to assist with shaping requests and any questions they might have. Metrics and KPIs Work with VEC SOS teams to determine what data they produce and how it can be used Develop KPIs to assist in process improvement using PowerBI and Tableau Technical Writing Develop and edit SBARS, RACIs, Standards, etc Develop documentation for internal use Research IT Works with research IT to find appropriate solutions that are secure Field questions that come out of Research IT TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES: Data Analysis (NOVICE) Creating and managing reports and dashboards Familiarity with data preprocessing PowerBI or Tableau experience Research Independent research needed for various technologies Identify opportunities for optimization and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Ability to produce an answer in a short amount of time Cybersecurity Familiarity across all Cybersecurity domains Ability to find gaps Familiarity with cybersecurity terminology INCIDENT RESPONSE (Fundamental Awareness): Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience with Security Incident Response tasks. Files an IT Security Incident Report form including a description of the incident and documenting any actions taken thus far. VULNERABILITY ASSESMENTS (Fundamental Awareness): Has training or light experience in supporting and assisting security tasks such as vulnerability assessments, hacking countermeasures and related security tools. Monitors systems for ongoing conformity with security configurations, benchmarks and basic security conformity.
